Yes. We already have an excellent range of high quality organic products branded 'Just Organics' in-store, which is constantly expanding thanks to the demands of our customers.

 

do you sell genetically modified food?
We engage the expertise of leading laboratories in Australia and utilise their worldwide contacts to ensure that products are tested to world leading standards. All ALDI products fully comply with Australian Food Standards Code Regulations, Standard 1.5.2, and no ALDI product is required to be labelled as containing Genetically Modified products. ALDI Stores employs stringent testing criteria and stocks only products from leading and reputable suppliers, ensuring that effective and complete control is maintained throughout the manufacturing of all products. We are committed to providing our customers with products that meet all legal standards and remain sensitive to environmental and ethical factors.

 

is ALDI environmentally responsible?
ALDI is a firm believer in protecting the environment and we do what we can to make our planet a healthier place to live. For instance, we don't give out plastic shopping bags and keep our use of plastic to an absolute minimum. We reuse all of our drink trays and recycle of all the cardboard that is generated within each store. In addition, all of our in-store equipment is energy efficient, like our chest freezers with lids. They retain their cold temperature in a much more efficient manner than regular upright or open freezers.

 

what exactly is ALDI's quality criteria?
We never compromise on quality. We subject our products to regular testing and extensive sampling sessions both in-house and in independent food laboratories. If any of these tests indicated the slightest cause for concern, we would immediately review the product and consider removing it from our range. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that our high standards are always met.

 

why don't you sell many branded products?
We work with leading manufacturers and concentrate on selling our own branded products in order to maintain our independence. By staying independent, we can maintain our own unique price, product and quality policies, and avoid high marketing costs that are often associated with branded products. This is what keeps our quality high and our prices low.

is your entire range of products always available?
We actually offer our customers two ranges of products: our core range, which consists of everyday grocery items and is always available, and our 'special buys' range. The products in our special buys range change from week to week and consist of anything from home furnishings to fashion wear.
